Relax.

Note: this is going to be my last post for about a week or so. i'll be heading to the beach tomorrow morning :) i'll be sure to get some great pictures to post when i get back!

FLOWER POWER.

so i have to giggle to myself.. because here is another flower post. but like i said, flowers bring me happiness and i want to share my "sunshine" with you! =)

i came home from work yesterday and found these from my special someone. it made my day.. especially since i got a new camera yesterday! whoot whoot!

one is taken with my blackberry and the others are taken with my brand new samsung camera. can you guess which one it is?

Country Roads.

as i was driving home from my hometown saturday evening, i couldn't help but notice the sky and how beautiful it was. going home is definitely a refreshing thing... depending on how long you're there. for the people who grew up where i did would understand. it's a small, town ... well more like "village" and i'd have to admit that i grew a little more fond of my hometown after i had been gone for awhile. i enjoy coming home and seeing how simple and "out in the middle of no where" could be completely relaxing. i never would have thought those words would come out of my mouth - err.. my fingers :) - but it's the truth.

i was upset i didn't think of taking pictures the whole time i was home. i guess there's always next time...

Natur-ity.

i do not have a green thumb so when i saw this little ditty growing in one of our flower pots on our back porch i just had to take some pictures. considering i probably wouldn't be able to make grass grow if i tried, i got really excited when i saw this little flower growing solo. i know - there's a running theme of flowers here lately, but they have brought excitement and happiness into my life so i'd like to share that with you. =)

i took this pictures at night with my blackberry which seriously takes better pictures than my actual camera. ohh the adventures of new & improved technology! it's sad that my camera isn't even that old and it's that out-dated. haha!

i love that when i took this picture, it completely
blacked out everything but the head of the flower.

 



Sunflowers.

sunflowers are a happy flower.

bright, bold and beautiful.

i'm going to dedicate this blog to one of my best friends, Krista Lynn who i lost due to a tragic event when i was a junior in high school. i pray that no one goes through the experience i had to go through, but unfortunately it happens. life happens.

when i visit krista's grave, i always leave sunflowers because she was a bright, bold and beautiful person. she always made me happy and she called me "sunshine" which is very often paired with the color yellow. (duh) ;)

everyone knows sunflowers are my favorite flower, so my sister sent these to me at work to tell me how much she appreciated me. i am so blessed to have a sister like her. i am blessed to have met krista and have the memories we shared together.

so still & abstract pictures aren't the only pictures i like to edit. i really enjoy editing profile pictures of people. the pictures below are of me.. and please don't be frightened by the first two. haha! i had just got bangs cut into my hair for the first time since well.. i was in 6th grade maybe? so it's been a while. i've always thought "bangs over the eye" pictures were cool so i thought i'd give it a shot... only to find out i looked more like the girl from the movie the grudge more than anything else. whoops!

for some weird reason i enjoy the goth-like pictures. so don't judge me. haha!

Fortune-ate.

im getting really bad at this slacking thing. i cant believe i waited another week before posting anything.

well my bad peeps. give me some time to adjust lol.

ive always loved quotes and i feel that some of the best quotes come from a sweet little cookie you get after eating chinese food... fortune cookies. sometimes you crack open the cookie delight to be disappointed with what it has to say, but there are other times you crack it open to find a truthful fortune. im actually kind of "lucky" when it comes to fortunes especially the times i receive them.. which is weird in its own little way.

during my 3pm munchie time at work, i found a stash of fortune cookies and found a great fortune that spoke so true to me especially at this point in my life. so i snapped a couple pics.

ive come to love how i can make real pictures look like they're painted. <3
